This is a hands-on creative role for someone with a strong understanding of fashion, internet culture, social storytelling, and the Miaou customer. The contractor will collaborate closely with Miaou’s Founder & Creative Director on creative concepts, brand direction, and final approvals while independently determining the methods and workflow used to complete the agreed monthly scope.

The contractor will also collaborate with Miaou’s Head of Marketing, Ecommerce & Growth and Marketing & Ecommerce Coordinator to align content with the broader marketing calendar, launches, product priorities, and ecommerce needs.

Scope of Services

Original Content Creation
  • Concept, shoot, and edit original social content featuring Miaou products, collections, campaigns, and brand moments

  • Create short-form video, still imagery, Reels, TikToks, Stories, carousels, and platform-specific adaptations

  • Capture behind-the-scenes and real-time content during agreed shoots, launches, events, and office sessions

  • Write or recommend captions, hooks, social copy, and creative direction

  • Repurpose existing campaign, ecommerce, editorial, and community assets into platform-appropriate content

UGC, Gifting, and Creator Outreach
  • Identify creators and community members whose style and audience align with Miaou

  • Coordinate approved UGC and gifting outreach, including selections, contact details, follow-ups, and package status

  • Maintain organized outreach, gifting, usage-rights, and content records

  • Collect and organize approved creator content for potential organic and paid use

  • Coordinate with the marketing team on product availability, shipment information, and creator communications

Research and Creative Development
  • Monitor relevant fashion, platform, creator, cultural, and competitor trends

  • Present actionable content concepts rather than general trend reporting

  • Identify emerging formats, sounds, visual treatments, and creator opportunities that can be interpreted through Miaou’s brand lens

  • Participate in mutually agreed creative and launch-planning sessions

Intern Support

Miaou may provide a Social Media & Marketing Intern to assist with onsite content preparation, asset organization, research, gifting coordination, and other supervised learning activities.

The intern will be formally supervised by Miaou’s Head of Marketing, Ecommerce & Growth and will work closely with the Marketing & Ecommerce Coordinator and the contractor. The contractor may coordinate project needs and collaborate with the intern during onsite sessions but will not be responsible for the intern’s formal supervision, school requirements, scheduling administration, evaluations, discipline, or legal compliance.

Monthly Capacity

The $3,000 monthly retainer covers up to 64 hours of services per calendar month, including up to 32 onsite hours.

Onsite time may be divided among full shoot days, half-day content sessions, meetings, launches, events, and shorter production needs. For capacity tracking, a full onsite day counts as eight hours and a half day counts as four hours unless the parties record the actual time instead.

Onsite dates will be mutually coordinated in advance based on the content calendar, production needs, and the contractor’s availability. There is no fixed weekly schedule or guaranteed number of onsite days.

Weekly Capacity Reporting

The contractor will provide a brief weekly record showing:

  • Date work was performed

  • Project or activity

  • Onsite or offsite designation

  • Time applied to the project

  • Total monthly hours used and remaining

This reporting is intended to track usage of the monthly retainer and assist with production planning. It does not establish fixed working hours or require the contractor to perform offsite services at particular times or locations.

The contractor will notify Miaou before approaching the monthly limit. Work beyond the available monthly capacity requires advance written approval and will be billed at the additional rate established in the final agreement.

Rollover Capacity

Unused monthly service hours may roll into the immediately following calendar month only. Any rollover hours not used by the end of that following month will expire and will not carry forward again.

Rollover hours:

  • Have no cash value and are not refundable

  • Do not automatically increase the 32-hour monthly onsite allowance

  • Must be scheduled based on mutual availability

  • May not interfere with current-month launches, deadlines, or priority deliverables

  • Do not authorize work beyond the agreed scope without written approval

The contractor controls their offsite schedule, working methods, and production process, subject to agreed deadlines, brand requirements, confidentiality obligations, and final creative approval. The contractor may provide services to other clients and is responsible for their own equipment, software, taxes, insurance, and ordinary business expenses unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Ownership, Usage, Likeness, and Confidentiality

All content created specifically for Miaou under the engagement—including raw footage, final edits, photographs, videos, audio, written copy, concepts, project files, source files, drafts, and other deliverables—will be owned exclusively by Miaou as detailed in the final agreement.

Miaou will have the unrestricted right to edit, adapt, reproduce, publish, distribute, sublicense, and otherwise use the work worldwide, in perpetuity, across all current and future media, including:

  • Organic social media

  • Paid social and digital advertising

  • Ecommerce and Miaou-owned websites

  • Email and SMS

  • Retail and wholesale materials

  • Press, public relations, and partner channels

  • Internal presentations, archives, and brand materials

When the contractor voluntarily appears in content created for Miaou, the contractor will grant Miaou the perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right to use, reproduce, edit, adapt, publish, and distribute the contractor’s name, image, voice, likeness, performance, and appearance as incorporated into that content. These rights include both organic and paid-media use and will survive the termination of the engagement.

The contractor will be required to maintain strict confidentiality regarding unreleased products, collections, campaigns, launch dates, business plans, internal materials, financial information, account information, customer information, passwords, marketing plans, and all other nonpublic information.

Term and Termination

The initial engagement will continue through December 31, 2026. If both parties agree to continue, the engagement will convert to a rolling month-to-month arrangement beginning in January 2027.

Either party may terminate the engagement with 14 days’ written notice, subject to the final agreement. Miaou may terminate immediately for material breach, confidentiality violations, unauthorized publishing, misuse of account access, misconduct, or other causes identified in the agreement.

Upon termination, the contractor must promptly deliver all completed and in-progress Miaou files, relinquish all account access, return Miaou property, and permanently delete confidential materials as required by the agreement.

Any unused or rollover capacity expires upon termination and has no cash or refund value, except as otherwise required by the final agreement or applicable law.

Qualifications

  • At least two years of professional experience in fashion social media, content creation, or a closely related field

  • A strong portfolio demonstrating original fashion, beauty, lifestyle, or culturally relevant social content

  • Strong short-form video, photography, editing, and visual storytelling skills

  • Experience creating content for Instagram and TikTok; familiarity with Pinterest and Facebook

  • Understanding of platform-native formats, trends, pacing, hooks, and audience behavior

  • Experience coordinating creator outreach, UGC, or product gifting

  • Excellent written communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage content calendars, approvals, creator communication, and overlapping deadlines

  • Comfortable capturing content onsite and occasionally appearing on camera

  • Reliable access to a phone or camera, computer, internet connection, and appropriate editing tools
